Since its establishment in 1991 as a specialized inspection agency,
KOTEC has not only conducted quality inspections on various products, but also implemented
quality inspections for various projects.
KOTEC provides comprehensive technical services such as design review,
residual life prediction and structural analysis, and electrical and architectural supervision.
Based on abundant technical experience and accumulated technology,
KOTEC’s organization has been subdivided into the “Plant Business Unit” that includes
steelmaking facilities, petrochemical facilities, power generation facilities, storage facilities, etc.,
the “Port Facility Business Unit” that covers container cranes, unloader, shiploader,
conveyor system, etc., and the “Steel Structure/Supervision Business Unit” that comprises
buildings, marine structures, bridges, stage facilities, offshore wind power, boarding bridges,
floodgates, gates, electricity and construction supervision.
The company has deployed technical personnel suitable for the characteristics of different
facility sectors to enable deeper and higher quality management activities.
